Clinics with the local chapter

Attending an event such as a workshop, clinic, symposium, or show with the local dressage chapter is a great way to learn something new and meet some fun people who all share the same interests.

I belong to the Foothills Chapter of the California Dressage Society. They often do events together with the Sacramento Valley Chapter of the California Dressage Society and it is a great group of very passionate members.
Last year just around this time I had the opportunity to take part at a USDF Instructor Certification Lunging Clinic as a demo rider. It was really fun!

I really hope to get even more involved with the local chapters this year. My kids have so many activities between scouts and different sports that sometimes it’s hard to get in horse time during the weekends. Training with my own horse is a push to get out there.  Even if I can’t bring her, it will be great to get out there and see what others are doing. Time to get started and get involved…
