A Special Guy, And A Reading Tip

Jaleo DA has been on the blog a bit before.

He’s one of four PRE stallions at the barn.  While the others are all imported, he’s a little extra special as he is home-bred.  As a 4-year old he has not been standing just yet.

Thought he deserved to be seen at his best on this site, mobile shots weren’t cutting it!

On to the reading tips, for those days you can’t get enough of horses and their people!

I rarely have time to leave comments on platforms other than my app, but there’s a few I like to check in on to read.

If you haven’t found them already they are worth a try this weekend!

Today’s PRE Peep 9 – Matador

You asked for it, so here it is.

One last PRE peep.

This is little Matador, a very friendly 2016 colt.

Don’t let this fool you, he’s not very shy at all.

Today’s PRE Peep 8 – Castiza, Zingara, Hermosa

Wow, 8 weeks of PRE Peeps!

It’s been fun sharing quick shots of them, and I can tell you’ve liked it too.  Next week should be the last post on this.  (Unless someone throws a little withdrawal fit about it.)

Today, a look at some special ladies.

Castiza, shown through Intermediare 1, currently on a little break from the showring.  An incredibly substantial and tall PRE mare, she rules the large pasture.

CastizaI don’t have any flattering new pictures of her – this one below will have to do, from some time back when we both had ended up at a lunging clinic.

Hermosa, Young 1st Level Mare.
One of the few available for sale now.

Sweet Zingara, now retired broodmare, living the happy life in the large pasture.

Taking pictures out there is, complicated…

Just give one of us a cookie or something and get on with it.

The Road To Your PRE Peep Barn – Peep #5

Driving out there.  Very clear it’s not the suburb any more.

The street names are a dead giveaway.

Dragon Point road, Falcon Haven road, just to start.  They come after a quick stint on the highway and out on the super winding road to, nowhere.

Then, too many wineries to remember;

Bray, Villa Toscano, Turley, Jeff Runquist, Scott Harvey, Andis, Vino Noceto, Amador Cellars, Borjon, Heiwig, Potter, Sobon Estate and others.  Several more just one side-road away.

And then, Horseshoe Lane, Windhorse Way.

And Squirrel Hollow, Rabbit Ridge – who comes up with this stuff?

This week’s PRE peep;

Gumer, I 1 Level stallion, soon ready for his Grand Prix Debut. (He’s awesome!)

He’s feeling violated by my braid job. Apparently it’s on the wrong side.
